What’s the Average Cost of a Home in the Bay Area?

In August 2025, the median sold price for existing single-family homes in the San Francisco Bay Area hit $1,275,000, up from $1,240,000 at the same time last year. It is still one of the priciest markets in the country, but demand has not really cooled off much.
